Instructor Bio:

As a competitive distance runner and hotshot wildland firefighter, Matt Pendola experienced chronic and acute injuries. He was told he would have to stop running and "pick a different sport". Instead, Matt learned about mobility, motor control, and strength training to get back to running pain free. Inspired to serve others, he obtained several strength certifications, including EXOS Performance Specialist, and is one of the few strength coaches in the world who has completed all four Athletes Performance Institute mentorships, is a certified Performing Edge Coaching International Coach, and a Licensed Massage Therapist (#NVMT.9941) with a focus in sports massage therapy. In the last 20+ years, he's served beginner to professional athletes in a wide range of sports. Since working with 2 Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists, he is currently on Team Ben Kanute and Team Chelsea Sodaro as well as continuing his coaching with performance minded endurance athletes of all ages and abilities. Matt has been featured in Triathlete, Oxygen, and Muscle and Fitness Magazine.
